Tuesday’s semifinals of the boys’ 43rd District soccer tournament have been moved from Lexington Christian Academy to Paul Laurence Dunbar due to wet grounds.

LCA Athletic Director Terry Johnson walked the grass field at his school Tuesday morning and studied the forecast. With the amount of rain received Monday night/Tuesday morning and the front that is to come through around mid-day, “I cannot confidently say our field will be playable,” he said. Since the weather appears that it will clear out this afternoon, but not in time to dry out the LCA field, he decided to use his fall-back plan by moving the games to the artificial turf at Dunbar.

Lexington Catholic will meet Tates Creek at 6 p.m., followed by Lafayette versus Dunbar.

Thursday’s finals are scheduled for 7 p.m. at LCA.
